As you probably know, today is the day we've been waiting for. My third studio album, Evolver, is in stores everywhere today. Did you get your copy yet?
I started the morning waking up at about 5am to get to the CBS studios and sound check for our performance on The Early Show. We did "Green Light" live on the show and taped "Everybody Knows" and "If You're Out There" for a future airing. It was cool being back there. It took me back to my 26th birthday, December 28, 2004, when we released Get Lifted and performed on the same show on CBS that morning.
It's been an incredible journey since that time. I've traveled the world several times over. I've played countless concerts and television shows, done hundreds of interviews, and met many of my fans all around the world. I'm so grateful for everything that has happened so far, and I'm grateful for your support up to this point. I couldn't have done it without you.
We're not even close to being finished yet though. We're just getting started! The first leg of my U.S. tour starts in Minneapolis on November 19th, and between then and the end of 2009 we hope to visit a city near you, no matter where you live, all around the world.
As we keep traveling, I'll keep you updated in this new blog. So keep coming back to see the updates. I'm excited to know what you think about all the new music, the new site and everything we're doing, so feel free to post your comments.

Hey John. I don't have "Evolver" yet but I will soon because I absolutely love what I've heard. This album is just amazing - I think you might have outdone yourself this time. I'm almost addicted to "Everybody Knows" and I LOVE "Good Morning". By the way, you need to come back to St. Lucia. That's where I'm from and I wasn't able to come to your show when you were here last year so you need to come back. Plus we love you like crazy here in Paradise. Congratulations on the release! Well I just had to come and give your latest album my official "GreenLight" before this day gets to long and before you know it "It's Over". Well like the comments before "Everybody Know" you are an awesome talent and "Quickly" and quietly proving your philanthropic gifts as well. You are a very talented man filled with wonderful gifts, and you are so good looking to boot. I don't want to "Cross the Line" but I have to say in the artist category there is "No Other Love" and "This Time" I'm going to make sure that your music provides true "Satisfaction" to everyone I know. When I listen to your voice it tends to "Take Me Away" as I drift off to sleep.

Wow, Oh my goodnesssssss. I have enjoyed you since back in the day when I heard SOB's. I have bought the Evolver album and I love every word, beat and melody about it. My fave is l Love, You Love. The album is different and it suits you very well.

I saw a clip of you and your girlfriend the other day on E!, even though you were parting(she stopping to talk to reporters) you still held hands and not letting go until you couldn't hold on any longer. i watched that and thought WOW he really must know what he is singing about which is Love. Ever Evolving, and with that you are able to portray it into your music to make us feel what you feel which is your passion for music and love. Just watching that clip challenged me for days! to become a better lover to my friend. Where i can express my feelings in a room or for an outdoor setting. I Thank you for sharing your gifts with us as small as they might be.

I hope that you read your blogs and I hope I can get a comment back. I just wanted to say this is an great album. I have followed your music since you came out and I must say this is a different side of your music vision that I love to see.
When I first heard "Green Light" I said to myself I will be up in the club doing my two step to this. Then as I listened to the rest of the cd "It's Over" which I have on repeat in my pod is another two stepping song. "Good Morning","Everybody Knows", and "Quickly (feat.Brandy)" are my favs. John you are an exceptional sexy, confident, artist and I am inspired by your work. The way you write is masterful, the way you sing is breathtaking I don't know about you, but when I am creating a song the melody always get me first as to what I want to write. I create of a lot of songs as poetry and then they become songs. Alot of the songs that I have written are from songs that are sung by my favorite artists. I believe that you hear or create a melody and go from there. Like from "Get Lifted" "She Don't Have To Know" I love that song the melody the way the music was put together classic. I would love to have you sing to me I would be captivated by every word. I sing and I write myself but I just never pushed myself to pursue it. I would love to harmonize with you if the opportunity ever presented itself. With your body of work I was never unsatisfied and that's a good quality for a man to have you kept me and other ladies can agree, wanting more. So I commend you Mr. Legend on another explosive album. Keep putting out that GOOD music that keeps me and other fans yearning for more.

'Everybody Knows' will be a great song to release next, but 'It's Over'.....that is a TUNE! I would just love to hear that played in a club - it has such a vibe to it, it just makes me want to dance everytime I hear it. When I'm listening to the new album on the train on my way into work in the morning, I have to be a little restrained, but I can't help but tap my foot to it - it just makes me want to dance! Can't wait to see Mr Legend live in Birmingham next March

Its funny cause when i play the cd in my car w/ my son, after each song he starts clapping! You have two year olds enjoying your music!! But anyway, PLEEEEASE come to St. Louis sometime soon. I really would love to see you and i would definitely be there front row seats mesmerizing such a handsome man. The first time I heard you was a recording that I saw the day after the Grammy's where you sang Ordinary People, and I actually said 'Who the xoxo$#3% is that? I couldn't believe how soulful your voice was and at the same time, just how talented you were on the piano, which are 2 great loves of mine! I have followed your music ever since, and introduced you to countless friends. In addition, I have had many car rides with you by my side and many great memories with your songs in the room. (Save Room!)
This is really just to tell you musically how much I appreciate your diversity and constant ability to re-invent the wheel on each album.
