Good morrrrrrrning! (sung in the tune of my new song, of course) Welcome to the new and improved JohnLegend.com. Thanks so much for coming to check me out. As you probably know, today is the day we've been waiting for. My third studio album, Evolver, is in stores everywhere today. Did you get your copy yet?
I started the morning waking up at about 5am to get to the CBS studios and sound check for our performance on The Early Show. We did "Green Light" live on the show and taped "Everybody Knows" and "If You're Out There" for a future airing. It was cool being back there. It took me back to my 26th birthday, December 28, 2004, when we released Get Lifted and performed on the same show on CBS that morning.
It's been an incredible journey since that time. I've traveled the world several times over. I've played countless concerts and television shows, done hundreds of interviews, and met many of my fans all around the world. I'm so grateful for everything that has happened so far, and I'm grateful for your support up to this point. I couldn't have done it without you.
At last I have my copy of Evolver since Monday and I listen to it every day.
Once again a great record!
I hope you John have planned to come to France very soon
Thought of you today
Thoughts don't translate to what I need to say
All the things you mean to me
All the things we should be
All the things you bring to me
Looked at you today
For the first time I see your dismay
My fleeting heart has left a heavy price for you to pay
All the things I need to see
All the things I should be
All the things you need to know you mean to me
Felt your heart beat
As I rest my head whilst you sleep
I held my breath so not to wake you
Swear to God I won't forsake you
Hold me close so you can feel
All the love in me
All the hope in us I see
All the things I feel are real
Heard your voice loud and clear today
Listened to what you had to say
All the things you want to be
All the things you need from me
All the things we should be
Kissed your tender lips today
Sealed a promise to always stay
In your arms and in your heart so we can be
All the things that we can be.
This is something I wrote for my partner whilst listening to 'Evolver' this morning. Love all your albums Mr LEGEND and looking forward to seeing you in concert again when you are next in London.

I just listened to this album from start to finish, and I am impressed once again by both the music and the lyrics. This is a great album. I look forward to putting this on my Ipod and jamming along in my car. This is a perfect addition to my hectic life right now with some really applicable songs for me at least. Thanks for giving us some good music to get us through the days.
Here it is - John Legend's Live From Philadelphia Album. Released in January in the United States of America, this live album features songs from his 2-album career history plus a remake of the 1970s classic Where is the Love featuring Corrine Bailey Rae.
I am sure most people would identify him as the guy who gave us Ordinary People , the piano & vocals number about love relationships that got him the "Best R&B male vocal performance in the 2006 Grammy Awards. Anyway, that's how I was introduced to his music. Have bought both of his studio albums and I must say there is not one single song that I disliked from the two albums.
His old school take on R&B with contemporary musical arrangements and elements (e.g. hip hop courtesy of Kanye West, Snoop Dog and the like) makes him rather unique. This singer-songwriter has the ability to sing straight from the heart (Again, Ordinary People) and yet tickle you with his cheekiness on songs like Number One, PDA (We Just Don't Care) and Used To Love You.
