to help eliminate AIDS in Africa with
Exclusive (RED)ZONE Seating at Madison Square Garden

Grammy-Award winning artist and long-time (PRODUCT)RED supporter John Legend is joining with Gap to create an exclusive (RED)ZONE seating section for his August 13th, 2009 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Beginning July 29th, every purchase at select Gap stores in the New York tri- state area will include a special access code enabling shoppers to obtain one ticket in the reserved RED(ZONE) section for John Legend's MSG show. Even better, with each (RED)ZONE ticket purchase, shoppers will automatically receive a second ticket to the show free of charge. Additionally, a select number of fans seated in the (RED)ZONE section will be randomly selected to go backstage to personally meet Legend after the evening's performance. Proceeds from the ticket sales in the (RED)ZONE will benefit HIV/AIDS programs in Africa supported by the Global Fund.

Heineken and Big Concerts are proud to work together to present multi-platinum recording artist John Legend. Having just completed his most successful international tour to date, the six-time Grammy Award winner will bring his show to South Africa for three performances this October, beginning at the Grand Arena, GrandWest Casino & Entertainment World in Cape Town on the 15th, the Indoor Arena, International Convention Centre in Durban on the 17th and at the Coca-Cola Dome, in Johannesburg on the 18th of October.

Legend's dynamic concert will feature many of his biggest singles - from EVOLVER's "Green Light" and "Everybody Knows" to the classic songs from his previous albums, such as "Ordinary People", "Save Room" and "Heaven" - all backed by an extraordinary 10 piece band.

JL’s Twitter Health Care Survey: How bad is it in Europe and Canada?

First of all, let me discuss the premise of this particular conversation.  I’m not analyzing the entire health care issue.  It’s much too complex for me to do so without doing a LOT more homework.  But I was just curious about a certain argument that some opponents have been throwing around a lot.

Their claim is that Obama is trying to give us the same health care system that they have in Canada and the UK AND that this is a terrible thing that we should be afraid of.  So, to believe this argument, you first have to believe that the Obama proposal is that we copy Canada’s or the UK’s system.  That claim is false on its face.

John was a guest recently on the Dr. Maya Angelou Show on Oprah Radio. Their conversation will be broadcast several times this week starting Wednesday, August 5.

Oprah Radio is broadcast on XM Sirius stations XM 156 and Sirius 195. Visit Oprah Radio for more information.

from MTV News Legend sang the national anthem at the World Series and performed with Stevie Wonder on the same night. By Kyle Anderson For any singer, performing the national anthem at a World Series game is a pretty big deal. Getting to share a stage with one of your idols is also a rare and spectacular occasion. So how did John Legend feel about singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" to open Game 2 of the Yankees/ Phillies series before heading downtown to play two songs with Stevie Wonder at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th anniversary concert Thursday night? "I feel like the luckiest kid in the world," Legend said. "I was able to do both the Yankees game and then come here with all these amazing artists." Wonder brought Legend onto the stage about halfway through his set at the Madison Square Garden show.
